What is Great Western Trail (Second Edition) about?
Ranchers in 19th century America would take their cattle on the Great Western Trail from Texas to Kansas, where they would be sold. To expand your burgeoning business, you will need to hire cowboys, craftsmen, and more.
The Great Western Trail combines classic strategy game elements like deck building, hand management, and set collection to create an immersive and thematic experience. Each turn, you’ll have a few options, but you’ll need your wits to choose wisely.
Players move along the trail, stopping at buildings as they go. At the buildings, players can buy, sell, and upgrade cattle. Buildings can also be constructed. By selling cattle and constructing buildings, players earn victory points. The player who earns the most points wins.
2ND EDITION: Great Western Trail 2nd Edition features new card and board art, a solo mode, and rebalanced and enhanced gameplay. The game is a great upgrade for players familiar with the game, or a great entry point for those new to the game.
