What is The Chameleon about?
Gameplay and Mechanics
In Chameleon, players receive one of two types of cards: a dice card or a chameleon card. Dice cards correspond to a specific word on a grid of topics, while the chameleon card reveals no word. Players roll two dice, which guide them to a word on the topic grid. Everyone except the chameleon knows the chosen word.
Each player, including the chameleon, must give a clue related to the word without being too obvious. The goal is to provide a clue specific enough to convince others you’re not the chameleon but vague enough so that the chameleon cannot guess the word.
Once everyone has given their clues, players discuss and vote on who they think the chameleon is. If the group correctly identifies the chameleon, the chameleon gets a chance to guess the hidden word for points. If the chameleon guesses right, they score points. If they remain undiscovered, they get bonus points.
