Gameplay

Tapple wheel

Starting the Game

  • Player with middle initial closest to ‘A’ goes first, play proceeds clockwise.
  • Draw a category card and choose a category for the round.
  • Announce the category and tap the timer button to start.

During Your Turn

  • You have 10 seconds to name an answer starting with an available letter on the TAPPLE wheel.
  • Press the first letter of your answer, reset the timer, and pass the turn.
  • Letters once pressed cannot be used again in that round.

Answer Tips

  • Be creative.
  • For example, if the category is CARS & TRUCKS, and you want to use the letter ‘J’, answers like ‘Jetta’ or ‘Jeep’ are acceptable

Elimination

  • Fail to complete your turn within 10 seconds.
  • Provide an incorrect answer and fail to correct it in time.
  • Press a letter for an unacceptable answer.
  • Next player taps the timer to continue after elimination.

Overtime

If all letters are used and more than one player remains, reset letters and play continues.

Players name two answers using two different letters within 10 seconds.

If still tied, continue with three answers, and so on until one player remains.

Winning:

Continue until a player collects three category cards.

For longer games, increase the number of cards needed to win.

Additional Notes:

  • Blue/White side of category cards for easier play, Red/Yellow side for more challenging play.
  • Pass the TAPPLE wheel for larger groups if necessary.
