Catan board game review
In Catan (formerly The Settlers of Catan), you will attempt to be the strongest on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn, dice are rolled to what resources the island produces. You and your opponents will collect these resources (cards)—wood, grain, brick, sheep, or stone—to develop your civilisation and reach 10 points to win the game.
A turn involves playing a development card, rolling the dice, everyone collecting resource cards based on the dice roll and position of houses. You will spend resource cards for improvements. You can trade cards at a port, and trade resource cards with other players. If a 7 is rolled, the active player can make moves to steal resource cards from other players.
Points are gained by building settlements and cities, possessing the longest road and the largest army, and collecting certain development cards that award victory points. You win when you gather 10 points.
