What is the goal?

For each card left on an opponent’s hand after you discard all your cards, you earn points. Be the first to score 500 points.

Uno Extreme Game setup

The players each pick a card. You won’t get points if you pick a Special Card. Whoever picks the highest number is the dealer.

  • Each player receives seven cards. Start the DISCARD pile by placing one card on the playing area.
  • Install the remaining cards facedown inside the Launcher, close the Launcher, and turn on the ON/OFF switch at the bottom.

The player to the dealer’s left starts first.

How to Play Uno Extreme Gameplay in Simple Steps

On your turn, play a matching card or hit the launcher

  • Play and match a card in your hand to the DISCARD pile by number, color or symbol. If playable, a Special Card, can be played.
  • If nothing matches hit the Launcher button.
  • If nothing happens, play passes to the left. If cards shoot out, add these cards to your hand before play passes to the left.

Going Out – Playing all your cards

  • You MUST yell “UNO” when you have one card left
  • FAIL to do so and you get caught, hit the Launcher button TWICE
  • You can only catch someone’s second-to-last card and they have to be caught before their played card touches the Discard pile

If the Discard pile reaches a substantial level (looks like a full deck again), reshuffle it, reload the Launcher, and continue play.

Special Uno Extreme Rules

If cards are left sticking out of the Launcher after activation, the player who caused the Launcher to activate must take these cards and add them to his/her hand.

Uno Extreme Special Cards

Uno Extreme 1

Reverse

Reverses the direction of play. Play left becomes play right, and vice versa. If turned up at the start of play, the dealer plays first, and play goes to the right instead of left.

Uno Extreme 2

Skip

The next playing player loses their turn. If this card is turned up at the start of play, the starting player is skipped and the next player starts.

Uno Extreme 3

Discard All

Discard all of the cards in your hand of the same color. For example, if a yellow “5” is in the Discard pile, you may discard all the yellow cards in your hand, with a yellow. Discard All card placed on top. (You can also discard a Discard All card on top of another Discard All card.)

If this card is turned up at the start of play, player on dealer’s left begins play with a card of the same color,or another Discard All card. If that’s not possible, he/she must hit the Launcher button.

Uno Extreme 4

Wild

This card can be played on any card. The person playing the card calls any color to continue play, including the one presently being played if desired. A Wild card can be played even if the player has another playable card in his/her hand. If this card is turned up at the beginning of play the player to the left of the dealer calls out a color, then plays

Uno Extreme 5

Hit 2

The next player hits the Launcher button twice. Their turn is then over. If this card is turned up at the start of play, the player to the dealer’s left hits the Launcher button twice. Play will begin with the next player (the second player to the dealer’s left).

Uno Extreme 6

Extreme Hit

The player who plays this card gets to call any color and then choose ANY OTHER PLAYER in the game to “Hit.” The Launcher is rotated to face the chosen player, and then “hitting” player presses the launcher button twice. The game continues with the next player (the second player to the left – or right in Reverse rotation – of the player who played the Extreme Hit card).
