Players aim to discard all cards. Match your card with the top card by color or number. Skips, Reverses, Draw Twos, and Wild cards add a twist. Shout “Uno!” with one card left to avoid penalties.Game setup

Pick dealer and deal cards
- Each player draws a card and the player with the highest card value is the dealer.
- Shuffle the and deal each player 7 cards.
- The remaining cards form a facedown DRAW pile

Pick 1st card for Discard Pile
If the top card is a Wild or Wild Draw 4, return it to the deck and pick another card. For all other cards, see directions that follow.How to Play Uno Gameplay in Simple Steps

Play matching cards during your turn
- Play a card from your hand by matching the DISCARD pile’s top card with either of the following: number, colour or card type (draw 2, reverse, skip, wild card or wild draw 4)
- If you can’t play a card, draw 1 card from the draw pile.
- If you can play the drawn card, plaay it.
Call out Uno when playing second last card
When playing 2nd last card, call out ‘Uno’! Draw 2 cards If caught not saying “UNO”. You can be caught by any player as long as they catch you before the next player draws a card from the draw pile.How do you win?
Score points when a player plays their last card
The player who plays their last card wins and ends the round. The player who wins the round scores points based on cards held by others. Proceed to the next round. Draw 2 Card
- The next person to play must DRAW 2 CARDS and miss their turn
- If the card is turned up at the start of play, the first player DRAWS 2 Cards
- The card can only be played on:
- a matching colour card or
- on another DRAW 2 Card

Reverse Card
- Reverses the direction of play. Play to the left now becomes play to the right and vice versa.
- When drawn as first card, the player to the right now plays first and play continues to the next right player instead of the left
- Card can only be played on:
- a matching colour card or
- on another Reverse Card

Skip Card
- The next person to play after this card is placed is skipped (loses their turn)
- If the card is turned up at the start of play, the first player loses their turn
- The card may only be played on a matching colour or another Skip Card

Uno Wild Card Rules
- When played, you change the colour being played to any colour
- Wild cards can be played even if you have a playable card in hand
- If turned up at the start of the game, the player on the dealer’s left chooses to start colour to and plays the first card

Uno Wild Draw 4 Card Rules
- Played card allows you to:
- call the next colour played and
- requires the next player to pick 4 cards from the DRAW pile and forfeit their turn
- If turned up at the start of play, return the card to the DRAW PILE and pick another card
- The card should only be played if you don’t have a playable card in your hand. You can still play it but the player who is required to DRAW 4 is allowed to challenge.
When challenged, show the challenging player your hand. If you have a playable card in hand, you draw 4 Cards instead. If you don’t have a playable card, the challenging player must draw 4 Cards and 2 additional cards.
Two-Player Uno Rules and Optional Rules
UNO rules for 2 players- Playing a Reverse card works like a Skip card. When playing Reverse, you immediately play another card
- By playing a Skip Card, you immediately play another card
- After playing a Draw 2 card or Wild Draw 4 card, your opponent draws the cards and you play another card
- Partners sit across each other
- When a partner plays all his cards, the round is over
- The score will be based on the total of all points in the opposing partners’ hands
- The game is scored by keeping a running total of what each player is caught holding in their hand
- When a player reaches 500 (or a designated amount), the player is eliminated
- When only 2 are left, they play head to head
